I am going to use podcasts created by the students to reteach difficult concepts including compound and complex sentence recognition and construction. Big emphasis on kids using their own technology in the classroom, especially with coming budget crunch. Pair up kids without their own phones or iPods, or have a few iPods on hand to provide them. Many schools are doing away with the "no phones in class" policy, and replacing it with "phones for school use only" policy. Parents and students seem much happier with this in those districts. Observing raising of hands, about 30% of districts have seemingly moved to this.
Garage Band used for fluency, kids read as it records them. They listen and make improvements. Rerecord and listen again. Cool!
You Tube or Teacher Tube Video Teaching...you can team teach with yourself. Video yourself teaching the concept. As the students are viewing it, and taking notes or completing an assignment, you can walk around and answer quesions as the video is going....or stand by that student who needs some help concentrating.
Have curriculum available 24/7....be humurous...out of the box!!! If kids are absent, they can observe what they missed, NO EXCUSES!
